Strand+Hvass are part of a new breed of Danish designers who are creating tomorrow's classics – today. The design firm, based in Copenhagen, was founded in 1998 and is run by Christina Strand, MDD. and Niels Hvass, MAA. Strand+Hvass began working for Carl Hansen & Son (then via Tranekaer Furniture) in 1999, and have created a number of pieces for the company.
